MS Word - dynamic header
I would like to create a Word Document - where somewhere in the text of each page there's a single ID#, and this ID# is shown in the header. Each page has it's own ID# and they're not sequential - though I could create a standardized way of entering the ID on each page so that Word can identify it and know what to show in the header.
Is there a way to do that in MS Word 07 (or if nec. Word '10)
thx

One follow up Q
Sometimes the text on a particular ID spans more than 1 page, so the ID isn't shown in the text of the page.
Is there a way to have Word keep the previous ID if no ID is present in the current page?

The same ID will show on subsequent pages until the next page with an instance of the style is met.

One issue that I encountered - the ID's are not always at the beginning of a line or on it's own line and it doesn't seem to recognize them when they are in the middle of a line. Any idea?
